MY REVIEW:
Smooth Talking Stranger was another phenomenal novel in the Travises series by Lisa Kleypas."Jack Travis leads the uncomplicated life of a millionaire Texas playboy. He makes no commitments, he loves many women, he lives for pleasure. But no one has ever truly touched his heart or soul. Until one day, a woman appears on his doorstep with fury on her face and a baby in her arms. It seems Jack is the father and this woman is the baby’s aunt. The real mother has abandoned the child to her more responsible sister. And now, Jack is being called upon to take responsibility for the first time in his life. With delicious romantic tension, characters so real they walk onto the page and into your heart, Lisa Kleypas delivers the kind of novel that makes you laugh, love; cry and cheer."
MY REVIEW:
Where the heck has Ms. Kleypas been all my life? I have a lot of commitments for the next two months, but I must admit that a really big part of me wants to call in sick to work for the next week so I can sit and home and read all of her books. I am fitting in one of her historical romance series as soon as possible, and I can't freaking wait!
Okay. Enough on that tangent. Back to Smooth Talking Stranger. I really enjoyed this novel. I may have liked it slightly less than its two predecessors, but the difference was so slight that I didn't even alter my rating. The premise for Smooth Talking Stranger felt a little familiar, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the story. This story was very sweet!
The Travises companion series is a wonderful series about love, friendship, and family. The Travises are possessive alpha males. They are confident hard asses, but they also have a softer, sweeter side too! I have really enjoyed reading this series, and I really hope that Ms. Kleypas decides to write Joe's story.
When Ms. Kleypas was asked if she was going to write Joe Travis's story, this was her answer:
"I had only planned my Texas books as a trilogy, and I've been so surprised and touched that so many people are interested in Joe! Although I'm not currently planning to write his story, I would say it's a strong possibility in the future."
Woo hoo! Fingers crossed for Joe's story!
I gave Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas 4 STARS! I recommend this series to every adult who enjoyed contemporary romance novels.
