MY REVIEW:
I LOVE Lisa Kleypas. I LOVE the Travises. I LOVE Hardy Cates. Needless to say, I absolutely LOVED Blue-Eyed Devil, the second novel in the Travises companion series by Lisa Kleypas.

In Sugar Daddy, I fell in love with Hardy Cates, the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks. I rooted for Hardy and Liberty to get together when they were younger, but when all was said and done, I didn't think that Hardy was the best pick for Liberty. I was very pleased with the conclusion to Sugar Daddy, even though Hardy wasn't the man chosen in then end because I genuinely thought that Gage Travis was the best man for Liberty.

Hardy Cates made some poor decisions in Sugar Daddy. He betrayed one of his good friends trust and he landed on the Travises bad side. In Blue-Eyed Devil, Hardy Cates is back, and this time he has his sights set on someone new, someone, ironically enough, with the last name Travis.

After being mentally and physically abused by her ex-husband, Haven Travis isn't the same woman. She's skittish, shy, and she doesn't like to be touched. But then, she finds comfort in the most unexpected place, in the arms of Hardy Cates - an untamed womanizer, a man who is enemies with her family.

This is a great book because it's a passionate romance novel that covers real issues, like spousal rape and abuse. The two main characters in this novel are fantastic. You have Hardy, the strong, dominate alpha male and then you have Haven the soft, sweet-natured female. They compliment each other extremely well because they bring out the bring out the best in each other. Hardy gives Haven strength and courage, where as Haven brings out Hardy's tender, compassionate side.

I gave Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas 4 STARS. I strongly recommend every book in the Travises companion series: Sugar Daddy, Blue-Eyed Devil, and Smooth Talking Stranger. I encourage adults who enjoy contemporary romance novels to check out this series!
