Liberty Jones has dreams and determination that will take her far away from Welcome, Texas---if she can keep her wild heart from ruling her mind. Hardy Cates sees Liberty as completely off-limits. His own ambitions are bigger than Welcome, and Liberty Jones is a complication he doesn't need. But something magical and potent draws them to each other, in a dangerous attraction that is stronger than both of them.
HE'S THE ONE MAN SHE CAN'T HAVE
When Hardy leaves town to pursue his plans, Liberty finds herself alone with a young sister to raise. Soon Liberty finds herself under the spell of a billionaire tycoon---a Sugar Daddy, one might say. But the relationship goes deeper than people think, and Liberty begins to discover secrets about her own family's past.
WILL THEY FIND THEIR HEARTS' DESIRES OR WILL HEARTBREAK TEAR THEM APART?
Two men. One woman. A choice that can make her or break her. A woman you'll root for every step of the way. A love story you'll never forget."

MY REVIEW:
The reason I put off reading Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas for so long was because every time I read the title I would picture a rich, sleazy old man with gold chains and a young, trampy gold digger with really, really tight clothes. Lucky for me, Sugar Daddy the novel was nothing like the images I associated with the word "sugar daddy". Thank God!

Sugar Daddy showcases the highs and lows of a young woman's journey to find love and happiness. Liberty Jones's journey isn't easy, but she never gives up.

Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas is one of the best adult contemporary romance novels that I've read in a long time. There were so many things that I loved about this story: Ms. Klypas writing style, the overall feel of the story,  the sexy, alpha country boys, the heroine's strength and determination, and all of the supporting characters unique personality quirks. However, the thing that I enjoyed most about this novel was that it's not just a romance novel. Sugar Daddy is so much more than that.

In my opinion, this the typical break down of an adult romance novel:
-Boy meets girl. (This typically happens within the first 50 pages of the novel.)
-Boy and girl fall in love.
-Boy and girl have lots of mind-blowing sex.
-Boy and girl have some falling out.
-Boy and girl kiss and make up. (Typically there's an engagement or an unexpected, but wanted pregnancy.)
-The end!

Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas had all of that, but, like I said before, it also had so much more.

As Liberty matures from an awkward teenager into a confident, beautiful young woman, readers will discover her fears, her strength, her independence, and her struggles. Reader will fall in love with her, laugh with her, cry with her, and smile with her. I'm not going to write a summary of this story because it's a story that you need to read and discover for yourself. Just know that the story and the characters are irresistible!

I gave Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas 4 STARS! At this point in time, I have read all three of the novels in the Travises companion series and I loved each and every one of them. I am officially obsessed with Lisa Kleypsas. I think I am going to start one of her historical romance series next. :)
